Steve Zollinger: Madisonhealth’s first Chief Operating Officer

The month of July brought two significant leadership changes to Madisonhealth. First, our beloved CEO, Rachel Gonzales, returned after an absence of several months, ready to pick up where she left off. Second, the interim CEO who served in her place while she was gone, Stephen Zollinger, became the organization’s new Chief Operating Officer (COO) on July 6, 2025.

Steve received his JD from the University of Utah in 1990. Then, beginning in 1993 and continuing for more than 30 years, he served as the City Attorney for the city of Rexburg. At the annual Farmers & Merchants Banquet in May of this year, Steve was given the Lifetime Achievement award from the Rexburg Chamber of Commerce.

As the newly-appointed COO of Madisonhealth, Steve brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with him, ready to make outstanding contributions to the long-term success of the organization. His passions in life include spending time with his wonderful wife and family, as well as participating in the glorious game of golf.
