Eight Madisonhealth volunteers were out in force on June 17, assisting with the mobile food pantry in Thornton, Idaho.
More than 500 grateful families and individuals stopped by to pick up much-needed food supplies. There’s been a severe shortage of helpers for the food pantry in recent months, and without the help of these eight volunteers from Madisonhealth, organizers said that distributing the food at the June event simply would not have been possible.
It turns out that this was the last time the food pantry will be held at the Thornton location. Beginning this month (July 15), the mobile food pantry will be held at Madison High School, along the road that connects the tennis courts to the east parking lot.
Rexburg’s mobile food pantry provides an opportunity for anyone and everyone – including Madisonhealth employees – to selflessly give of their time for a few hours, once a month, serving less fortunate members of our community without judgement and without criticism.
